Today America has lost one of the best comedians that ever lived. George Carlin is likely most famous for his "Seven Words You Can Never Say On TV" routine but his career gave us hundreds of hours of both live and broadcast entertainment. There are thousands of sites out there that will cover his extensive list of accomplishments and awards, so I'm not going to attempt to cover it all. What I am going to say is that he had a huge impact on my father and later when I came around, he influenced my opinions and views of the world as well. George, you will be missed. Some liked you, some didn't but you made your mark on us all. I'm just sorry I never got to see you perform in person. If you have any problems with St. Peter just call Joe Pesci, I'll straighten it out! |
